Philip H Lindner: In Memoriam

Our president, Phil Lindner (age 81), of Bronson, Michigan went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, July 29, 2024.

Phil’s passion was to spread the Gospel, and he began early.  By age three, he was standing on the piano to recite John 3:16 at Vacation Bible Schools throughout southern Michigan. After many years of informal Christian ministry, Phil accepted a call to Batavia Baptist Church, which he pastored from 1979 to 2011.

Phil’s greatest legacy is the development and distribution of the Power Bible CD, a Bible study resource which includes 22 translations, 10 dictionaries and over 20 commentaries.  He provided this resource at near-cost to pastors, missionaries, and interested parties around the world. Phil believed that everyone who requested a CD should receive one, and often subsidized his “business” with his personal savings.

The distribution of Power Bible is currently being overseen by Phil’s family. They covet your prayers as they attempt to discern the future of Power Bible.
